About Us

Lower Street Studios was created by us, Ella and Josh,  a couple from Hertfordshire who are expecting our first baby in June 2026.

Ella comes from a creative background and runs her own nail salon and training academy, while Josh works in construction. Between us, we realised we made the perfect team to bring this idea to life. Josh understands how to build and transform a space, and Ella knows first-hand what small businesses need when it comes to creating great content for their brands.

The idea for Lower Street Studios came from noticing how limited the options were locally for studio hire. Many small businesses and creatives were having to travel into London and pay premium prices just to create quality content for their social media and websites.

​

We wanted to change that.

​

Our goal was to create a space where local businesses, photographers and creatives could access a beautifully designed studio without having to travel far or spend a fortune.

​

When we first saw the units, we instantly knew they had huge potential. Instead of taking on just one space, we decided to take on two so we could create two completely different studio environments, allowing us to cater for a wider range of shoots and creative styles.

Lower Street Studios is something we’re incredibly proud to be building together, and we’re excited to welcome other creatives and local businesses into the space.
